I had to practice my ponytail placement and getting my hair into the ponytail flap, but it's a great feature for those of us with longish hair who like it up in the summer heat. After doing some searching, I ran across this company and the reviews were good so I gave it a shot. "I have very long hair and have always struggled with sun hats: keeping my hair under them makes me hot, while many wide-brim hats are either uncomfortable, unstable in the wind or simply too cumbersome for everyday use. The Resort Wide Brim gets the balance just right. The ponytail opening keeps my hair off my neck, the chin strap is great when it’s windy, and the wired brim is very easy to shape. I was worried that the 10 cm brim might feel too small, but it’s actually perfect — wide enough for excellent coverage without getting in the way, even when I’m driving. The cotton-linen fabric feels great, the Natural colour is incredibly versatile, and I love that the hat is foldable and easy to pack. I chose L/XL for my 58–59 cm head and it fits beautifully.
