"I love my new Ultra Wide hat exceptI had not realized how big the brim would appear on a short woman like me! The sun protection is brilliant but the overall size of the hat overwhelms my small stature. In hindsight I would have been better suited to a smaller brimmed hat. Full marks, though, for effective sun blocking!"
"I wasn’t sure I’d love the 5” brim, I thought I wanted a 6” brim all around, but it’s just right. I got a large with my head circumference measuring at 23. 25”, this sizing is pretty loose and doesn’t leave lines on my forehead BUT if there is a breeze I’m completely reliant on the pull cord. The only drawback to this hat is that it is so lightweight, a stiff breeze flops the brim around badly. The wire in the brim doesn’t help at all. In the same order I purchased their ultimate wide brim, which is 6” all around with a stiff brim. I wish I’d found something with the stiff brim, but 4-5” in the front, to be used on windy days."
"Without a doubt this hat is well made. The one improvement needed is the detachable strap because the present connector to the hat dislodges too easily. I would suggest replacing it with a snap. The coverage is great face, shoulders, and neck are well covered. It easily folds for travel, but I question if the wires will break in time."
"After a recent procedure to remove a mole, I am on a mission to be sun safe. Its not worth messing about with cheap SPF, and I invested in my health. This hat is lightweight, stylish and has an enormous wide rim which covers not only my face, but my neck as well. It even has a section for my ponytail too. Not at a cheap cost, but a definite investment. I can fold this to put in my carbor beach bag as it has a plastic case. I love the two tone and wide rim, ideal for a day out."
"I planned to flip this inside out to wear the navy inside. This would keep the cooler side (beige) toward the sun and the navy to keep sun from reflecting back into my face. The fabric is slippery but the brim is adjustable. Unfortunately, my petite neck was too short for the 6” brim in the back. Still looking for the best hat for rosacea."
"Love, love, love my Solbari hat! Bought the navy blue and it arrived very quickly. The fit is great and it gives the best coverage for my entire face. It arrives flat packed, so as suggested, I put a cotton towel on the brim and easily ironed out the two creases. Living in Florida year round, this hat is a must!"
"The crown of the hat is softer than I expected and prone to looking crumpled on my small head, but otherwise this seems an excellent hat with a much wider brim than I've been able to find elsewhere. I appreciate the adjustable size, as I've always had difficulty finding hats that are small enough for my head. I regret getting the light pink as it seems prone to showing every little bit of dirt (I intend to use the hat for gardening) but that is my mistake."
