Hi, my name is Michele.
I was diagnosed with melanoma one year ago, although I have had always been careful with sunscreen 50+ and I have never sunbathed (but I am fair-skinned and with many moles).
Life has changed a lot. I take less 'exotic' trips, and do less walking in the sun and sitting in the park when I'm in the city on the weekends.
I don't swim in the sea out of fear. Despite wearing a t-shirt, I stay under the beach umbrella until after 7 pm. At least in this first year, I was very careful ... next year, we'll see.
For one year I have been using the cool Solbari t-shirts and I can say with certainty that they are effective. The fresh scar from my operation pinched under two layers of clothes walking on a sunny day in the city. Then I wore only the Solbari garment and no longer felt pinching from the scar.
Thank you Michele for helping raise awareness for skin conditions by sharing your story with us and our Solbari Community.

Many of us see the ultraviolet (UV) index on weather reports and read about UV alerts at particular times of the day. But do you know what it actually means and how it affects you?
